We love Tonkatsu !

One of my favorite food in Japan is Tonkatsu.

Ton comes from the kanji for “buta” which means pig.

Kanji has the meaning and reading for each character - the kanji character “pig” is also read as “Ton”.

“Katsu” – is from the word “Katsu-retto” the katakana reading for “Cutlet”

Tonkatsu therefore, is pork [...]

I have always known the Japanese people to be artistic and creative.

But never did I think that their art form would go as far as this.
