School Children in hats

Japan  still has some of the safest cities.    :)

Children all over Japan generally walk to the school closest to where they live.  Sometimes they walk alone, sometimes their friends  pass by their homes or maybe meet somewhere then walk together to school.   If  it is too far to walk,  they ride their bicycles, or  take the trains to school.

Around our neighborhood , I noticed, many kids wear yellow hats – and when I asked my husband, he told me the bright colored hats are worn to let the drivers know that a child is walking nearby.

Hey Farah is there a reason for the blocked out eyes? Like a privacy thing? This is a cooool blog, many many many people love Japanese cluture and it’s so nice to see it through the eyes of a kababayan!

Yes, they are very strict with privacy stuff here… just playing safe… will try my best to keep this blog active – alive…

  • It’s really interesting to learn about other country’s culture and Japan is one that I will always love. Their designs are very simple yet very overwhelming. I am also awed at the respect they give to their elders. They have preserved their culture even up to this generation unlike the Filipinos who became adapted to western ways of life. But I have not given up on our kababayans yet… Someday, we too, will be recognized distinctively from the others. Mabuhay ang mga Pilipino.
